Problem: With society today we strive to have personal goals and achievements on minor tasks completed throughout our daily lives. USAREC currently has no incentive program and has not since 2009.
Vision: Using a reward system based off key principles and tenants which can be measured to show a recruiters true work efficiency. These principles are:
– Good behaviors
– Performance individual and team
– Contribution to the end state (enlistment)
Instead of using a static fixed number as goal, using a percentage that is based on current trend analysis (inferring they can change by Fiscal Year or quarter) would be better. This could be tracked over rolling three year span to encourage consistency and better understand each recruiting function. The concept behind a rolling three year tracking would allow for mentorship and driving competition within the team environment while facilitating cross personnel knowledge sharing.
Gamification is system design that allows organizations to empower subordinates to accomplish tasks, objectives, and missions to earn intangible objects while earning points towards incentive based rewards. These intangible objects have a wide range from badges, streamers or banners. Gamification drives motivation, self-development and ownership while maintaining the integrity of the mission and vision of the higher units.
